Mr. Robert V. Castile, 94, of Bumpus Mills, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 20, 2023, at his residence.
He was born in Stewart County, Tennessee, the beloved son of the late Willis and Velma Smith Castile.
Mr. Robert was a hard worker and provider for his family, worked until retiring from Civil Service. Mr. Robert loved the Lord and was a faithful servant. He was a member of Brandon Chapel Freewill Baptist Church for over 60 years. He served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and any other job that was needed around the church. Many of the Sunday School classrooms, Mr. Robert assisted in building.
He was a member of the Lineport Masonic Lodge for over 70 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Verble Ruth Wallace Castile; daughter-in-law: Donna Crockarell Castile and grandchild: Valerie Castile Ashby.
He is survived by his loving family: son: Robert Neil Castile; sister: Ada Collett; granddaughter: Stacy Castile Eisenbroun; great-grandchildren: Ashley Eisenbraun, Ava Eisenbraun, Parker Ashby, and Reese Ashby.
A visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2023, beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home.
Visitation will resume Monday, April 24, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the hour of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Josh Colson officiating. There will be a Masonic Service at the beginning of the funeral service. Members of the lodge will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Morgan Cemetery, Bumpus Mills, Tennessee.
