Nashville, Tenn.–The Tennessee Agricultural Museum in Nashville has announced its newest acquisition: A 1965 International Harvester T-340 forestry bulldozer used in recent decades in Obion and Weakley Counties.
The vehicle was acquired in the 1960s by the Tennessee Division of Forestry and spent the next decades fighting fires and managing state forests in Obion and Weakley counties.
Museum curators said, “We worked with Forestry Technician Dennie Davidson, who has cared for the vehicle for most of his 40+ year career, to bring the dozer from Martin, TN to Nashville. Space was created and landscaped by our Grounds and Trails Manager John Hardin who has worked tirelessly the last several days and will continue improving the area around the dozer. We would also like to thank State Forester David Arnold for his help in facilitating this acquisition.
We will install interpretive and informational signage soon, but we invite you to come see the piece now and learn about Tennessee Forestry!”
The museum is located at 404 Hogan Rd, Nashville.
