Mrs. Laura Mai Hawks, 88, of Union City, passed away 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at her home.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Laura was born May 26, 1934, in Obion County, daughter of the late Sam and Minnie (Remely) Brockett. She married R.D. Hawks in 1949. He passed away in 1965. She worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 25 years and was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura Woodward of Union City and Neva Stockwell (Bill) of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Jerry Hawks of Union City and Dale Hawks (Tiffany) of Big Sandy; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Joe Hawks and Frankie Hawks; three brothers; and two sisters
