Paris, Tenn.—A Paris man arrested on drug charges took a little detour to the emergency room after he told officers he had swallowed meth before the traffic stop.
Kenny List, age 49, of 3425 Hwy. 641N, was taken to the Henry County Jail several hours later after treatment at Henry County Medical Center. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and driving on a revoked license.
List was stopped on East Wood Street by Paris Police Patrolman James Harden on a headlight violation. During the stop, Harden became aware that List’s license had been revoked.
When Harden searched the vehicle, he found a rolled-up ball with duct tape around it and List said Gabapentin capsules were hidden inside. Instead of Gabapentin, Harden found that the capsules field-tested positive for meth.
