Paris, Tenn.—A 20-year-old Paris man is in jail this morning on a first-degree murder charge after he admitted killing his grandfather at a residence they shared at 1108 Dunlap St.
Jeremy Anderson is in the Henry County Jail this morning on $500,000 bond, being held on the first-degree murder charge.
Paris Police were called to the residence around 11:43 p.m. last night after someone called 911 and said he just shot and killed his grandfather. His grandfather has been identified as Marlin Wallace.
Paris Investigator Jeramye Whitaker told WENK/WTPR this morning that Anderson was living at the residence with his grandfather and grandmother.
Whitaker said when police arrived they found Marlin Wallace lying on the kitchen floor, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Whitaker and Captain Ricky Watson, along with Paris Police and deputies with the Henry County sheriff’s office, secured the scene. During questioning with Whitaker and Watson, Anderson admitted killing his grandfather, according to Whitaker.
