
Paris, Tenn.–Even with a rocky start caused by the severe weather of Thursday morning, the Elkhorn community and Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge brought 16 slates of items for the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction, raising $5,783.
That brings the grand total raised so far to $291,969. Auctioneer was Noel Hatman, with members of the Paris Quota Club manning the phones.
Friday items will be from Easton’s Angels, A Place Called Home; Salvation Army, HCHS Baseball; REAL Hope. And Saturday will be another big day with the First Baptist Church donating items.
Helping Hand raises thousands of dollars each year for over 80 non-profit and public service groups. It started January 9 and runs through March 1. Helping Hand is known for unique and homemade items which often raise large sums.
