
Mayfield, Ky.–An arrest has been made in a first-degree armed robbery of the Mayfield Dollar General Store back in December 2022.
On 12-31-22 at 9:44 PM, an armed robbery was reported to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office. Employees of the Dollar General Store reported an older white female had entered the store armed with a pistol demanding money. The suspect was wearing a partial mask during the robbery. The suspect was last seen leaving the store on foot, but it was suspected that she had a vehicle nearby.
Graves County Sheriff’s Det. Sgt. Snapper Seaton and Det. Jamie Clark conducted the follow-up investigation which included a forensic examination of electronic records which identified the suspect. The results came back Thursday morning 02/16/2023.
The suspect was identified as being 61 year old Ruby May Turner of Jimtown Road in Graves County.
A search warrant was obtained to search Turner’s residence (2000 block of Jimtown Road) Thursday afternoon. Sheriff’s detectives and deputies carried out that search and while at the residence of Turner, placed her under arrest for the armed robbery.
The firearm used in the robbery was discovered also Thursday afternoon at a second location.
Arrested: Turner, Ruby May age 61 of Jimtown Road, Mayfeild, Ky.
(Charge: Robbery 1st Degree (Class B Felony) Penalty 10-20 years imprisonment)
She was transported and lodged at an out of county detention facility.
