Peggy Ann Owens, 64, of Paris, Tennessee, died Monday, February 6, 2023, at Henry County Medical Center.
Peggy was born Saturday, March 29, 1958, in Ranburne, Alabama, to the late David Braxford Swofford, Sr., and the late Louise Wiggins Swofford. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son: Roger Paul Owens; one brother: David Braxford Swofford; and two grandchildren: Coach Owens Morley and Pax Roe Owen.
She retired from Regional Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, after many years as an LPN. She formerly worked at Regional Hospital in McKenzie, Tennessee.
Peggy loved spending time with her family and cooking.
She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Henry, Tennessee.
She was married Saturday, June 7, 1975, to Roger A. Owens, of Paris, who survives.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by one daughter: Amber (Richard) Owen of McKenzie, Tennessee; one brother: Curtis Swofford; two sisters-in-law: Gloria (Jerry) Muzzall and Rose Owens; two brothers-in-law: Jim (Sharon) Owens, and Robert Owens; and three grandchildren: Kaiden Owens, Chasden Owens, and Essie Owen.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee.
The body is to be cremated.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Emily Walker officiating.
