Paris, Tenn.–With 22 slates of items and a silent auction combined in one today, the grand total raised by the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction is now at $167,888.
With items donated by the Puryear community, Harrelson Beta Club, Office on Aging and Northwest Nutrition, the auctioneer was Noel Hatman and the Paris Quota Club manned the phones.
There was a good turnout of bidders at the Paris Convention Center and on the phones and a multitude of items were donated. All kinds of goodies, from blueberry cheesecake ring, pies and more pies with lots of meringue, homemade soups, casseroles, banked goods of all kinds, handmade items, such as paintings, wooden rolling pins, really nice quilt, cross stitch painting and more.
On Friday, items will be donated by the Clifty community, Rescue Squad, Relay for Life, Henry County CASA. And Saturday will be Whitlock community day.
