Union City, Tenn.—The Union City Golden Tornadoes are heading back to the state football finals following their win over Columbia Academy by a score of 35-7.
The Tornadoes will be seeking their fourth state championship in nine years.
Union City will be facing Chattanooga Tyner at 11 a.m. next Friday, December 1, in Cookeville. Union City and Tyner met 20 years ago for the state final game.
In 1A semi-final play last night, Cornersville defeated Lake County 7-0.
And in Kentucky, Mayfield is again going to the state finals after beating Christian Academy-Louisville by 21-14.
