Brenda Joyce Magee, 76, of Paris, Tennessee, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Brenda was born Tuesday, August 6, 1946, in Paris, Tennessee, to Russell Mathenie and Maudean Wilkinson Mathenie, who both preceded her in death. She was also preced in death by a brother: Kenneth E. Gwinn in 2006.
Brenda was a Christian who loved to read and paint. She loved fishing and was a pet lover but most of all she loved her family.
Brenda married William “Bill” Magee Tuesday, February 25, 1986. He preceded her in death Sunday, April 5, 2015.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter: Felicia Harguess (Vince Simkins) of Willcox, Arizona; two sons: Robert (Molly) Hampton, of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, and Robin (Christine) Hampton, of Oregon, Wisconsin; her grandchildren: Jay Mischa Hardage, Derrick Harguess, and Jared Hampton; great-grandchildren: Abby and Dominick Hargues; her sister-in-law: Chong OK “Mona” Gwinn, of Paris, Tennessee; a brother: Russell Mathenie, of Paris, Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Buddy Morris, of Grace Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be held at Palestine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, prior to service.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hampton, Robin Hampton, Ben Taylor, Dustin Morris, and David Barnes.
