Knoxville, Tenn.–It was a game for the ages, with the back-and-forth nailbiter ending in a 52-49 win for the Tennessee Vols over their rivals the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers beat the No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide at home in the final seconds of the epic game, the first Volunteer victory over the Tide since 2006.
Tennessee fans stormed the field immediately following Charles McGrath’s 40-yard field goal and fans took off with the goal posts.
Governor Bill Lee was among the thousands of Volunteer fans who crowded into Neyland Stadium today and said after the win, “Unbelievable day on Rocky Top. Tennessee Football, Tennessee is proud!”
