Paris, Tenn.—Gerald Howard and Jim Hite of the Tennessee River Longbeards receive assistance from Chris Langley, Assistant Kroger Manager today as the group loaded up boxes of turkey dinners for 32 needy local families for Thanksgiving at the local Kroger store. Steve Blount said the Tennessee River Longbeards is a local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. The boxes contain frozen turkeys and all the trimmings for Thanksgiving dinners. Blount said the names of the families were received from the Henry County Family Resource Center and local churches. Food was paid for from a special “Hunters Care” program of the NWTF.
