
Mr. Bobby Gene Brasfield “BeeRight”, 82, of the Elbridge Community, passed peacefully into eternal rest on September 20, 2022 at 9:32 AM at Jackson Madison County General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Brasfield was born Thursday, March 21, 1940, in Tipton County, Tennessee, to the late Carl Leon Brasfield and Jesse Lee (Woods) Brasfield. He was the second of four children, and was preceded in death by his younger brother: James Steve Brasfield, of Covington. He was also preceded in eternal rest by his loving wife of 43 years: Anna (Bradshaw) Brasfield, as well as nephews: Neal Billings and Ronnie Brasfield.
He graduated Byars-Hall High School in Covington, Tennessee, in 1961, and served his country in the Army from 1961-1964, while stationed in Germany. He again served as Staff Sargent/E6 with the National Guard 913th Engineering Company in Union City, Tennessee. He married Anna May Bradshaw Saturday, March 20, 1971. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union L878, and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where he earned the nickname “BeeRite” for his love of beekeeping and harvesting and sharing his honey with family and friends. He was an avid horseman for much of his life and a lover of the outdoors. He loved whitetail deer hunting and fishing.
In addition to his brother: Charles Leon Brasfield and sister Ann Carolyn (Brasfield) Mann, both of Covington, Tennessee, he is survived by his two daughters: Faith Brasfield-Lowe, of Nashville, and DeAnna (Jay) Cloar, of Elbridge. He also leaves behind 6 beloved grandchildren: Brianna and Brayden Lowe, of Nashville, Tennessee; Kaylee Burnett, Ethan Cloar, and Anna Cloar, of Elbridge; and Hunter Cloar, of Union City. He also leaves nephew: Kevin Billings, of Bonita Springs, Florida; niece: Pam Black and Chad Brasfield, of Covington; and nephews: Randy and Carl Ray Brasfield, of Covington. He is loved and remembered by dear friends: Randy and Joan Mouser; Alex Maxedon; and the Keelings: Bill, Pat, Lori and Debbie Smith.
Friends and family are invited to visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by services at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home on Saturday. Rick Knoll will be officiating. Burial to follow in Elbridge Cemetery beside his beloved wife Anna. There will be a reception to follow at Oak Ridge Church of Christ, 1913 Oak Ridge Road, Obion, Tennessee.
