Paris, Tenn.—A former Paris man is in the Henry County Jail on a pending capias warrant that had been issued from a vehicular homicide charge from 2011.
Emmitt Jones, age 33, of Picayune, Miss. after Mississippi authorities picked him up on drug charges.
Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy John Krezinski transported Jones from Mississippi and brought him back to the Henry County on Sunday.
The capias warrant had been issued locally in connection with the vehicular homicide in which a passenger, Tony Teague, age 19, was killed in an accident on Rison Street in May of 2011.
Jones was arrested in Mississippi on two possession charges and he now is also being held on probation violation and vehicular homicide. A bond of $130,000 has been set.
