Ed Reagor

Ed Reagor, 91, of Paris, Tennessee, died Friday, August 12, 2022, at his residence.

Ed was born Wednesday, February 25, 1931, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to the late Elbert Reagor and the late Emma Gann Reagor. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister: Irene Adamson; and three brothers: Bill Reagor, Gene Reagor, and Bob Flanagan.

He was a custom home builder in Paris for many years.  Before building homes full time, he was a farmer for many years in Henry County. Ed was a longtime member of the Henry County Fair Association and National Farmers Organization.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Cottage Grove Masonic Lodge and the EZ-Rodders Car Club.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris.

He was married Friday, November 17, 1972, to his wife of almost 50 years, Nancy Dowdy Reagor, who survives, of Paris, Tennessee.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by four children: Charmaine (Robert) Baldwin, of Huntersville, North Carolina, Eddie Reagor, of Paris, GeNan (Bruce) Pendergrass, of Paris, and Cheryl Blankenship, of Rolling Meadows, Illinois; one brother: Dub (Mary) Reagor, of Paris; three grandchildren: Alexandria (Jordan) Hayes, Alison Reagor, and Pepper Cain; and niece: Lana Reagor Joyner.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.  Visitation will be Monday, August 15, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dr. Danny Kimberlin, Dr. Trent Bullock, Dr. Randall Phillips, and Rev. Todd Henson officiating.  The family encourages masks to be worn at both the visitation and funeral service.

Serving as pallbearers are Bruce Pendergrass, Pepper Cain, Bob Baldwin, Scott Berryman, Jordan Hayes, Jimmy Arthurs, Bobby Lovins, and Jerry Joyner.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Tony Bowers, Ralph Dillard, and Bud Ryan.

Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tennessee.
