
Paris, Tenn.–A Henry County Circuit Court jury found a Paris man not guilty of attempted murder but guilty on two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
On trial was Kevin Eric Dodd, age 29, of Powell Street, who had been arrested following gunfight in October 2020 in downtown Paris that endangered members of the First Baptist Church who had been handing out commodities. Dodd was placed on the TBI Most Wanted List at the time.
Judge Donald Parish sentenced Dodd to 15 years in the Department of Correction on one of the charges and six years for the second charge, with the sentences to be run concurrently.
The jury found Dodd not guilty of the two charges of attempted murder that had been filed against him by a local grand jury.
