Paris, Tenn.–A pedestrian crossing Hwy. 79N was struck and killed Saturday night.
Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey told RadioNWTN this morning that the accident occured around 8:30 p.m. in front of Fourman’s restaurant at 3615 Hwy. 79N.
Frey said preliminary reports indicate two people were crossing the highway on foot and one was struck.
The highway was shut down for some three hours after the accident, he said. Responding to the accident were sheriff’s deputies, THP, Henry County EMS, Rescue Squad and the Paris Fire Department.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and will be issuing a report later.
