Weakley County, Tenn.–One person is in custody and a second being sought for the murder of a Milan man whose body was found lying on the side of the road outside of McKenzie.

Tiffany Grogan, age 28, of Dresden is charged with first degree murder and aggravated robbery in the shooting death of Terry Beard, age 49 of Milan.

The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office is still seeking Julian Hardin, age 36 of Mobile, Ala. in the shooting.

Weakley County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of Bells Store and Patterson Roads just outside of McKenzie (in the Weakley County portion of McKenzie) on July 10.

Investigator Marty Plunk said deputies found Beard lying on the side of the road. He had been shot and was deceased.

The investigation led to Grogan and once she was located, she was taken into custody and charged with murder and robbery.

Plunk said the sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on the case or the whereabouts of Hardin to contact Investigator Neil Cantrell.

“We expect to have further information on Hardin that we will announce at a later time,” Plunk said. “Hardin is believed to have fled the area at this time.”
