Paris, Tenn.–The Fall Sale at the Friends of the Library at the W.G. Rhea Library in Paris begins today and runs through November 18th.Tuesday through Friday the hours will be 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday hours will be 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
For current Friends of the Library members all merchandise will be 50% off! Non-member sales amount is 25% off. The Children’s Room is NOT included in the sale. However, there will be select Children’s books in the meeting room that will be.
Don’t have a membership? No problem! There will be applications available and after completing the application and paying the minimal fee, you receive the 50% off. Plus any other time you are in the store you receive 10% off your purchase. You also receive emails telling you in advance when are the next sale dates.
All money made from the Fall Sale and everyday transactions at the Bookstore goes to support the W.G. Rhea Library. Recently the money has helped to pay for the new tables and chairs for the refurbished meeting room, purchase LED lighting for bookstore, and funding for 4 HotSpots for the library which enable people who do not have cable wireless in their homes to receive wireless connection. We donate books to local nursing homes, veterans’ organizations and the 3 Children’s boxes around Paris. We contributed to the children’s program at the library and helped the participants receive their free book after completion of the Summer Reading Program.
Your membership helps the library, the community and gives you good deals on your favorite books. Wanting a specific book you just can’t seem to find? Well as a member, you can ask the bookstore manager to add you to her list. She looks over the inventory twice a month. If your book is there, she will call and/or email you so that you can come in to get it in the office so no other customer will buy it.
