Union City, Tenn.—Meeting in regular session at the Union City Municipal Building Monday night, the Union City Schools board of education recognized teachers who have been granted tenure.
The teachers are: for Union City Elementary, Lindsey Gidcumb, Marilyn Gilliam, and Jamie Pardue; and Union City High School, John Graham and Wade Maddox. The teachers were awarded their certificates of tenure at the meeting.
The board also approved purchase/payment of $17,644.50, which represents half the cost of new tracks and curtains for the Civic Auditorium. The other half of the cost will be paid by the city.
