Today was the Annual Special Olympics Spring Games at South Fulton High School. Students from the CDC programs at Westview and Sharon School competed with students from Obion County Schools in the following events: 50 and 100 meter dash, 50 and 100 meter walk, wheelchair race, softball throw, standing long jump, running long jump, and mini-javelin throw. Students were awarded ribbons for their efforts. UTM’s Clinton Smith and his Adaptive PE class have been training the students for the last few weeks for these events.
