Harry Lee Vollen

Harry Lee Vollen, 91, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Vollen was born Thursday, February 12, 1931, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Guy Vollen and Stella Jamison Vollen, who both preceded him in death. A sister Gail Winnie, also receded him in death.

Harry was a kind and gentle man who deeply loved his family. He had a Master’s degree in Education and taught Math and Science in Roseville, Michigan, for 35 years before retiring. He also worked as a mover, butcher, sailor, and field hand. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He had a love for sports and he coached and officiated certain sports.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Marilou Cobb Vollen of Paris, Tennessee; who he married Saturday, July 23, 1966. He also leaves to cherish his memory a daughter: Audrey (Randy) Dean, of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two sons: Scott Cobb of Springville, Tennessee and Jeff (Barbara) Vollen, of Ramona, California; seven grandchildren: Amber (John) Roaten, of Puryear, Tennessee, Ashley (Eric) Renney, of LeHigh Acres, Florida, Scott (Carrie) Lancaster, of Olympia, Washington, Lindsay Vollen, of Broomfield, Colorado, Bethany (Zach) Brock, of Martin, Tennessee, Alexis Cobb, of Martin, Tennessee, and Ally Cobb of Camden, Tennessee; nine great grandchildren Auron Renney, Caleb Roaten, Lilly Renney, Abram Renney, Bodhi Lancaster, Seth Roaten, Kai Lancaster, Aven Renney, and Lavender Renney; his sister Norma Johnson of Evart, Michigan and his brother Gene (Linda) Vollen, of Pittsburg, Kansas.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022, with Emily Walker of Trinity United Methodist Church, presiding. Burial will be at Elkhorn Cemetery.

Pallbearer will be Adam Weatherly, Matt Matheny, Pat Cobb, Wayne Odom, Jim Bob Weatherly, Zach Brock. Honorary Pallbearers are the Trinity United Methodist Church Men.
