
Murfreesboro, Tenn.–What a game!
The McKenzie Lady Rebels are bringing the gold ball back to Carroll County as the Class 1A State Champions. The Lady Rebels beat Wayne County by a score of 46-42.
The Lady Rebels win the team’s first-ever state title and the first appearance at the state contest since 1963.
The Lady Rebels complete their year with one Senior Dani Dyer and a great future.
Making the All-Tournament team are Dani Dyer, Briley Auvenshine, and Savannah Davis. Savannah was named MVP.
The game was tied early before the Lady Rebels moved ahead of the Wayne County team.
The city of McKenzie posted on its Facebook page: “The City of McKenzie is so proud of the Lady Rebels! Thank you so much for your hard work!”
