Paris, Tenn.–In a collaborative effort between the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce, the Paris-Henry County Arts Council and the Krider Performing Arts Center, the Bethel University Renaissance production of the Roald Dahl classic children’s book, ‘Matilda the Musical’, will come to the KPAC Stage for two weekends in April.
“This is a win-win situation for us,” according to Travis McLeese, CEO of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce. “We are always looking for ways to diversify our tourism portfolio and bring new people to our community. Not only does this event do that, it impacts the quality of life in our region by supporting the arts from a local University. If this works, like we anticipate it will, we look to partner on similar projects to support the arts.”
In addition to the five public performances, over 1,500 school age kids will be able to attend shows during the day at no cost.
Bethel University has partnered with the Krider in the past, as they presented Godspell (2010), Steel Magnolias (2012), Smokey Joe’s Cafe’(2013), and Once Upon A Dream (2016).
Performance dates are:
Friday, April 1st at 7:00 pm
Saturday, April 2nd at 7:00 pm
Friday, April 8th at 7:00 pm
Saturday, April 9th at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm
