
Paris, Tenn.–A large and enthusiastic crowd was on hand for Sunday evening’s performance of “We’ve Come A Long Way” musical event at the Krider Performing Arts Center. Sponsored by the Paris-Henry County Bicentennial Committee, the performance told the story of African-American dnce and song in the world, in the United States, Tennessee and Henry County. With a huge cast of all ages, the program included slave songs and spirtuals that helped carry people through bad times and how the much helped carry people through the Civil Rights Movement and beyond.
