Sandra Kay Merrell, 72, of Henry, Tenn., died Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Merrell was born January 10, 1950 in Lynnville, Kentucky, to C.B. Irvin and Treva Wilson Irvin Lawrence, who both preceded her in death.
She attended the Church of Christ. She loved her family but most especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her body is to be cremated and a private family celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
Her burial will be at the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Farmington, Kentucky
She is survived by Jerry Merrell, who she married on June 5, 1987; and who resides in Henry, Tenn. She also leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Stephanie (Ronnie) Webb, Paris, Tenn., a son Michael (B.J.) Swatzell, of Union City, Tenn., a sister Patrica (Paul) McLoughlin, of Athens, New York, two brothers Joe Thomas Irvin, of Mayfield, Kentucky, and Jimmie Dale Irvin, of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Zachary (Brittany) Swatzell, Makayla (Jamie) Ham, Emily Swatzell, and Dakota (Hannah Jackson) Irvin-Merrell; great-grandchildren: Johnathan Ham, Inman Ham, Oakley Swatzell, Mayleigh Merrell, and Colton Ham; and special friends: Deanna Kendall, Stella Nunnley and Holley North.
