Stanley A. Powell, 62, of Hollow Rock, Tenn., passed away at his residence Thursday, February 17, 2022.
Stanley was born June 29, 1959 in Barnesville, Ohio, to Stanley Adam Powell, Sr., and Carol Hope Keylor Powell, who both preceded him in death. A sister, Sandra Powell, preceded him in death also.
Stan retired from TWRA and enjoyed taken care of River Run Farms. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and looking for Indian artifacts.
He leaves behind a wife Shirlene Luttrell Powell of Hollow Rock, Tenn., who he married in 2008; two sons Adam (Ashlee) Powell of Springville, Tenn., and Josh Powell of Springville, Tenn., a grandchild Parker Thomas Powell; a sister Shannon Kemp of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother Paul Earl Powell of Clarksville, Tenn., and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 at McEvoy Funeral Home, with burial at VanDyke Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to funeral service. Bro. Bud Merwin will preside over the service.
Justin Marsh, Rodney Marsh, Caleb Dunn, Jeremy Clark, Michael Parker, and Will Burgess will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jerome Merwin, Lee Whitehead, Kirk Luttrell and Bob Page.
