The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office said they are seeing sleet and ice building up on roads and bridges throughout Dyer County. Deputies are responding to many accidents. Please limit unnecessary travel. Road conditions continue to degrade there.
In Henry County, Sheriff Josh Frey said around 9:30 a.m.: “At this time most roads are in good shape and passable. However bridges and overpasses are becoming slick in certain parts of the county. We’ll update road conditions throughout the day.”
In Obion County, Sheriff Karl Jackson said, “Icy roads can sometimes be hard to spot, and you can lose control in an instant! If you find yourself sliding on ice, do not apply the gas or brake, and instead steer gently in the direction of the slide until you regain control. Staying calm could save your life!”
