
Paris, Tenn.–Today was a busy day at the Helping Hand Radio Auction, with 14 slates of items and $4,786 raised. The grand total now raised is at $183,689.
Today’s donors were the Mansfield community, Christ Lutheran Church, Carl Perkins Center and Johnson Chapel.
Auctioneer today was Ray Compton and helping with the phones were members of the Paris Lions Club.
Due to the likelihood of a snow and ice storm, Thursday’s auction has been cancelled. Donating groups that had been scheduled for Thursday are the Buchanan community and the Lakewood Beta Club. They now will be bringing their items on Monday.
Friday’s items will be donated by Holy Cross Catholic Church, Chapel Hill/Guthrie Road; TARP. Auctioneers Friday are Darrin Thompson and David Jackson.
The annual auction started January 10 and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.
Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.
The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.
