
Dresden, Tenn.–Dresden City Hall was closed today and and will be closed Tuesday, 14 as the city relocates City Hall to a temporary location at the Harmon and Lucille McWherter Civic Center on Evergreen Street.
The current city hall on Main Street and the Dresden Fire Department building on Nelson Street in downtown Dresden were destroyed in Friday night’s tornado.
Mayor Jeff Washburn said, “The city is currently seeking a location with heat to house our fire equipment temorarily.”
A reopening date will be posted later. For the present persons desiring to pay water bills may drop them off at the night deposit box located behind the downtown city hall.
