Timing of todays most severe weather is expected 9PM to 3AM this evening. Thunderstorms could begin as early as 6 pm.
EMA and Sheriff Josh Frey are working on a plan for opening shelters. Storm Prediction Center has upgraded our threat risk of possible tornado to MODERATE or 4 out of 5.
County Storm Shelters will be opening at 7:30 pm and remain open until the threat has passed. Henry County Sheriff’s Dept and City of Paris School Resource Officers will operate the shelters and provide security. Those planning to use a shelter should use COVID-19 precautions. Bring a folding chair, a charged cell phone, and water/snacks if you plan to stay until the threat is over.
