Dresden, Tenn.–As August came to a close, Dresden High School’s FFA carried on the annual tradition of cleaning the Weakley County Courthouse statue honoring Governor Ned Ray McWherter. FFA members Sam Laws (on right) and Aaron Fulcher are seen here carrying out the fall cleaning. Joined by three other students, the freshening up took three hours. Another cleaning will take place in the spring. The bronze statue was sculpted by Bell Buckle artist Russ Faxon at Selah Studio and installed in front of the courthouse in 2010.
