
UPDATE: As of 5:30 pm power has been restored to all customers with the exception of a small few. The outage was caused by a tree on one of our distribution lines feeding the impacted area.
Paris, Tenn.–Paris BPU employees are working now to identify the cause of the outage that has left some 6,300 customers without power this afternoon.
BPU Communications Manager Meagan Hart said the outage is affecting the areas including the Dana Corporation, County Home Road, Buchanan and Paris Landing areas.
As of 4:15 p.m., Hart told RadioNWTN, “Crews are working to identify the issue right now and will work to get power restored as quickly and as safely as possible.”
