Camden, Tenn.–The weekend many have been waiting for is upon us: Bo’s Extravaganza is coming to Camden Friday through Sunday, May 21-23.
John Schneider, known to most everybody as ‘Bo’ from the “Dukes of Hazzard”, is hosting the event at the Birdsong Drive-in in Camden, at Camden Speedway and at Birdsong Resort. Schneider is no stranger to the Birdsong or Benton County, after being there last year on his tour for the movie, “Stand On It”.
Schneider made so many friends there while appearing that he wanted to come back.
For Bo’s Extravaganza, Birdsong Drive-In, Camden Speedway and Birdsong Resort are teaming up to bring the event from May 21-23, with live music from numerous artists, car shows, boating, food trucks, arts and crafts, amusement rides, and of course, a drive-in movie.
The event begins Friday with music from Schneider, Keith Burns from One Trick Pony, Cody McCarver, and Clayton Q. The Turtle Man, Jason Kirkpatrick from The Walking Dead, John Reinke from Tiger King and more will be on hand. There will be photo ops and autographs with celebrities, food trucks and the movie “Stand On It” will be played at the Drive-in.
Saturday’s activities at the Drive-In include a car show (starting 7 a.m. with line up and gates open at 8:30 a.m. for VIP guests and 9:30 for general admission). At 5 p.m., at Camden Speedway, Schneider and others will participate in the Hot Laps and dirt track racing. The General Lee will be there.
On Sunday, there will be Cowboy Church services at 10 a.m. at the Drive-In. A Camden Boat Parade will be held at Birdsong Marina, with Schneider as Grand Marshal. Boat Parade is FREE.
All attendees will have their temperatures checked before entering the venues and will be asked to social distance as much as possible. Hand sanitization stations will be set up and masks are recommended.
