Head Coach Jason Fitch of West Carroll High School and Senior Luke Moore celebrated earlier in the year as the senior gained his 1000th point in his high school career.  None were more important than the 20 points that he and his teammate Jalen Anglin and the remaining War Eagle players contributed to defeat the Summertown Eagles in double overtime on Tuesday night at West Carroll High School.  The win sends them to the Region 6 finals and a trip to sub-state later on.
West Carroll led following the first quarter 13 to 9 but Summertown fought back to a half time tie of 19 to 19.  West Carroll led at the end of three 36 to 29 but Summertown came back to tie it in regulation and send in to what would be a double overtime with West Carroll taking the victory in the last few moments of the game.
Moore and Anglin each had 20 points.  Josh Clark contributed 9, Jed Robinson had 6, Tyler Johnson had 5, Xander Moon had 4 and Andrew Huff had two.
Summertown, who had defeated McKenzie on Saturday in and overtime contest were led by Gavin Burleson with 19 points, Grayson Burleson and Grant Burleson had 13, Skyler Trousdale had 9, Kaden Totter had 7 and Jake Smith had 3.
West Carroll will entertain the Loretto Mustangs on Thursday night and win or loose will play again on Monday night as they attempt to advance to the state tournament.
