Union City, Tenn.—A book-signing by a Union City native will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at Discovery Park of America at the Train Depot.
Author Philip Jett will be signing copies of his book, “THE DEATH OF AN HEIR: Adolph Coors III and the Murder That Rocked a Brewing Dynasty.”
Jett is a retired corporate and tax attorney who now lives in Nashville. He was born in Union City and attended Hornbeak Elementary School and graduated valedictorian of his Obion County Central High School class in 1979. He went on to receive his bachelors, law, and graduate law degrees at the University of Tennessee at Martin and Knoxville and the NYU School of Law in New York City.
Jett has two sons, Austin and Brandon, and he often volunteers for children’s causes. His mother, Polly Jett, and sister, Paulette Jett, live in Union City. His brother, Perry Jett, lives in Newbern, Tennessee. His father is deceased. Most of his other relatives live in or near Union City.
