Camden, Tenn.–Hometown Proud is an understatement for the way people in Benton County are feeling about Tanner Hudson today.

Hudson, a 2013 Camden High graduate from Big Sandy, is appearing in the biggest stage in professional football today–the Super Bowl.

Hudson is No. 88 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and everyone in his hometown couldn’t be more excited. Posters and t-shirts–printed by the Funky Banana in Camden–are everywhere.

A portion of the proceeds are going to a fishing fund in memory of Hudson’s father, Danny, who passed away in November. The fund goes toward Danny Hudson’s grandchildren to enjoy a sport he loved.

Hudson’s mother Karen visited the Benton County Courthouse Friday and posed for photos with county officials and office staff. She is in Tampa Bay today with family and friends watching the Super Bowl.

As we reported previously, Hudson is a tight end for the Buccaneers and earlier found a unique way to thank his hometown friends and fans for their support by putting up a billboard with his thanks and the message, “Now let’s get that ring”.

The Buccaneers face off today against the Kansas City Chiefs at Tampa Bay.
