Paris, Tenn.–A huge crowd–over 1,300, in fact–was on hand at the Paris Community Trunk or Treat event at the Henry County Fairgrounds Saturday afternoon. The event was sponsored by the Paris-Henry County Jaycees, World’s Biggest Fish Fry, Henry County Sheriff’s Office and several local businesses. Michelle Vassar of the Jaycees said they made over 1,300 bags of candy to hand out to the kids. “We handed all those out, plus our other bags of candy that we hadn’t put in bags,” she said. The event was a drive-through event, with the sponsors and businesses lined up under the pavillion. The lines to get into the event stretched all along Fairgrounds Road and down Royal Oak Road.
