According to a Henry County Sheriff’s Office report, the semi-cab Tyson truck was found in the parking lot of a saloon on Hwy. 69 right outside of Cottage Grove. The suspect is also being sought for stealing a vehicle later from the Henry Farmers’ Co-Op, which is nearby.
Sheriff’s deputies believe the suspect is headed for Kentucky.
According to the report, patrons of the saloon saw a man pull the semi-cab into the parking lot and then left on foot. They said he was acting strange and appeared to be on drugs.
Deputy Sgt. Gary Carroll tracked the suspect to the Henry Farmers Co-Op, where he observed the front gate had been driven through and the lock on the gate split in two.
A BOLO was issued for a pickup stolen from the Henry Farmers’ Co-Op. Tyson employees came from Union City to pick up the stolen semi-cab.
