Union City, Tenn.—The third annual “Beer, Blues and Brats” event will be held this weekend at Discovery Park of America. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. with $5 admission, which covers the cost of unlimited beer tasting. Event Director Lauren Jones has been planning for months to make sure this is a fun filled evening at the park.
In addition to the availability of over 50 different craft beers for tasting, the West Tennessee Home Brewers Association will offer samples of their unique “home-brews.” The Home Brewers are also available to discuss the craft of home brewing that evening. Jones said that there are two great food trucks coming, and park officials are grilling over 1,500 brats to make sure nobody goes away hungry. Blues music will accompany the smoke filled air with the Beat Daddys scheduled to entertain.
Whether you are trying to find a new favorite, want to learn more about the craft of beer making or just want to enjoy great music and delicious food, make plans to attend “Beer Blues and Brats!” Tickets are available online or may be purchased at the gate the evening of the event.
“This is one of the most fun events we have at the park,” Jones said. “We are ready for a big crowd Saturday night!” This is the third year for the beer festival, and the sponsors this year are Budlight, Williams Country Sausage, McKinnis Lawn Service, Little Caesars and Commercial Bank and Trust Company.
