Juvenile Identified As Armed Robber

Huntingdon, Tenn.–Positive identification has been made of the suspect involved in the armed robbery of the Little General convenience store in Huntingdon last week.

Director of Public Safety Walter Smothers said he was positively identified by the clerks that were working in the store. The suspect is a 17 year old juvenile. Commander Johnny Hill is currently seeking a juvenile petition charging him with felony aggravated robbery.

Smothers said the juvenile became a suspect after Huntingdon Police received several anonymous tips identifying him as being the person in the pictures circulated throughout the media and social media. The surveillance photos released to the media last week showed the juvenile pointing a gun at the head of the clerk in the store.
