Paris, Tenn.–When Henry County Patriots fans arrive Friday night for the football season opener against Haywood, they’ll see a welcome sight: the signs proclaiming the fieldhouse “James Counce Fieldhouse” have been installed.
The signs were installed by Brown Signs of Paris and are on the front and back sides of the fieldhouse.
Last summer, the Henry County Schools board of education approved dedicating the Fieldhouse to the late Coach James M. Counce and naming the football field after the late Coach Bill Hudson.
The sign dedicating the football field to Coach Hudson will be placed directly under the scoreboard and is expecting to be installed by Brown Signs this week.
Meanwhile, the USA Today Network on Sunday announced that the Henry County High School Patriots are ranked 11th in its pre-season list of 131 high school football teams. The rankings were established by the area’s high school sports writers.
