Brother Stephens And Donna Celebrated At Sulphur Well

By Shannon McFarlin WENK/WTPR News Director
Springville, Tenn.—A huge celebration for Brother Randy Stephens and his wife Donna was held Sunday at the Sulphur Well Church of Christ, where Brother Stephens has been the minister for 40 years.

Stephens is semi-retiring, but will still be the part-time minister at the church and continue with his many communities activities. Stephens also is busy with the daily sermons he prepares for us at WENK/WTPR.

Henry County Mayor Brent Greer gave a short talk at the church and issued a proclamation declaring September 24, 2017, as Randy Stephens Day.

Parishioners presented a homemade bench to Stephens and his wife, as well as a scrapbook full of photos from their 40 years at the church.

Sulphur Well Church of Christ has undergone tremendous growth while Brother Stephens has been there and recently has been adding an outdoor pavilion and play area to the grounds.

Some 500 people attended the pot luck dinner at the church after the service and celebration.
