Huntingdon, Tenn.—A juvenile has been arrested in connection with a robbery at the Cash Savers in Huntingdon Sunday night.
The robbery occurred around 7:45 p.m. Video from the store showed him running into the cashier in the store, sending her sliding across the floor, at which time he grabbed money from the register and ran out the door.
Huntingdon Director of Public Safety Walter Smothers said the suspect was identified by persons seeing photos of him posted on social media. Officers found him walking on Hwy. 70A at about 11 p.m. and he was taken into custody. Found in his sock was $595, the same amount reported stolen.
Smothers said the suspect is 16 years old. He is being confined in an area juvenile detention center.
Smothers thanked Carroll County deputies for their help in the search for the suspect.
