Paris, Tenn.–Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Mary Wagner and Kyle Hixson visited the Henry County Courthouse today, touring the building and conducting an informal question-and-answer session with judges, court officials, employees and attorneys.

Justice Mary Wagner is from Shelby County and Justice Kyle Hixson is from Knox County. Justice Hixson was appointed earlier this year by Governor Bill Lee to replace retiring Justice Holly Kirby.

Circuit Court Judge Brent Bradberry said their visit is the result of a conversation started a couple of years ago about building relationships between the Supreme Court and the clerks, judges, attorneys and staff “who are a vital part of the system.” The visit is part of the Court’s ongoing commitment to engaging with the clerks across the State.

Chancellor Vicki Hoover said, “We’re so grateful for you” for the visit, noting, “We have a great group of justices.” Circuit Court Judge Bruce Griffey also thanked the pair for their visit. Also in attendance was General Sessions Judge Chad Cox, County Attorney Rob Whitfield, Clerk and Master Albert Wade, County Mayor Randy Geiger, Circuit Clerk Mike Wilson, local attorneys and court employees.
