PARIS, TN – The Arrive Alive Tour recently visited Henry County High School to provide students with a sobering look at the realities of distracted driving.

During the event, students from Brian Welp’s class participated in immersive simulations tailored to their choice of risk factors. These scenarios ranged from driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs to common everyday distractions like texting, talking on the phone, or eating behind the wheel.

Buris urged the young drivers to adopt a “safety-first” mindset by implementing these key habits:

• Be hands free of your cell phone while driving

• Pull over to safely respond to messages

• Set Navigation in advance

• Avoid multi-tasing in the vehicle.

The visit served as a powerful reminder for the entire community. “Be safe, Henry County,” Buris concluded. “Buckle up, watch your speed, and make good decisions to prevent collisions.”
