
Murray, Ky.–The Murray State Lady Racers are going dancing!
Murray State will face Maryland in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. They face the five-seed Terrapins Friday, March 20, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The Racers qualified after winning the MVC Tournament Championship Sunday over Evansville, 91-70. MVC Player of the Year Halli Poock led the Racers to the title, scoring 33 in the matchup.
The matchup is the first ever between the two programs and is the Racers third NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT and the game will be aired on ESPNU.
