
Dover, Tenn.–A Dover man wanted on felony domestic assault charges, as well as retaliation for past acts and multiple violations of orders of protection, was apprehended early Sunday morning, February 22, in Stewart County.
Deputies were notified when the Flock cameras notified deputies that his vehicle had entered the county. A Flock camera refers to an Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system manufactured by Flock Safety.
Deputies had been looking for Thomas Goerg, age 40, since an incident on Saturday night. He was believed to have left the county after the incident and was armed with multiple weapons. He was entered into the Flock Camera System, and about 6 a.m.,deputies were notified that his vehicle had re-entered Stewart County.
Cpl. Josh Miller and Deputy Logan Dennis located his vehicle on Hwy.120.
Cpl.Kyle Farrington, Investigator Aaron Page, and Sheriff Frankie Gray assisted Cpl. Miller and Deputy Dennis to take Goerg into custody in front of Brandon’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Bumpus Mills.
