Big Day At Helping Hand: $35,231 Raised, Bringing Total To $315,111

Paris, Tenn.–It was a very big day Saturday, with $35,231 raised by the First United Methodist Church for the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction. That brings the overall total raised so far to $315,111. Bids were high and phones were ringing all day.

Church members donated over 400 items, amounting to 33 slates of items for the afternoon and evening auctions, plus a silent auction during the day. They also served lunch for the crowd.

Afternoon Auctioneer was Darrin Thompson, with Doug Taylor being auctioneer for the evening in-house auction. The Springhill Baptist Church & Friends manned the phones.

A look at next week:

Monday’s donations will come from: the 4-H Clubs of Henry County; Future Farmers of America, Henry Co. No Fly Zone, Young Farmers and Ranchers, and rescheduled Carroll Bank & Trust, First Bank, Foundation Bank and Regions.

Tuesday: Como/Ore Springs, BPU, the city of Paris, Project Help and rescheduled Paris Elementary School and Rhea Elementary.

Wednesday: Springhill Baptist and VanDyke/Routon communities.
